Discovering Paradise can be an exciting adventure
Paradise is located in Northern California with tall pines, rivers, lakes, and back road adventures. Enjoy hiking, biking, horseback riding, river rafting, and tubing.
Paradise Reservoir is surrounded by tall pines with trails, a picnic area and plenty of room for kids to run and enjoy the great outdoors. You will find great fishing from the shore, or you can fish from a non-motorized boat.
The lake also serves as water supply, so there is no swimming in the lake.
Lake DeSabla is a local favorite and provides lots of family fun and entertainment for everyone who loves to fish! Lake DeSabla is just a few miles up Skyway just past Magalia.
Lake Oroville is a reservoir formed by the Oroville Dam across the Feather River.
The Oroville Lake provides numerous water-sport activities including boating, excellent fishing, swimming, skiing, hiking many trails around the lake as well as equestrian trails.
Oroville Lake is just 10 min. outside the Paradise City Limits providing fun and entertainment for family and friends.
Parks and Trails
Bille Park, Northeast of Paradise, has a half-mile trail along the South rim of Butte Creek Canyon which offers a panoramic view of the canyon. There are also more challenging paths forking off the main trail. If you venture a little further up Skyway and deeper into the foothills, you will discover the meticulously landscaped Merlo Park in the historic community of Stirling City. The gated park is privately owned by its namesake family and includes a chapel, trails and swan-dotted pond.
IThe Gold Nugget Museum was incorporated as Gold Nugget Days Inc. in 1973. Its mission is to preserve and protect the Ridge heritage through our collection and with community education programs.

Family Fun Time
If you are looking for some good old fashion family fun and entertainment, you won't have to venture too far. Listed below are just a few of the exciting things you can do with the entire family while staying with us at the Paradise Inn.
Paradise is filled with exciting and fun things to do as a family, or a group.
Each year Paradise celebrates the finding of the 54 Lb. Gold Nugget discovered at Whiskey Flats in 1859. The celebration runs from April 23rd - April 27th. There is a donkey derby that starts at Whiskey Flats and heads up to the Magalia Community Church. There is a parade, booths, museum tours and more.
Oroville is only about 30 minutes away. and provides additonal fun and entertainment for everyone. If you take Pentz Rd. you will pass by the Oroville Lake, then turn right onto Hwy 70 to continue on to Oroville. If you take the Montgomery Exit off Hwy 70, you can follow the "Green Line" on the road to lead you to places of fun and interest including the Oroville Dam, and the Oroville Visitor Center. The Oroville Visitor Center has a museum, a theater to view the history of Oroville, and a 47 ft. tower with spectacular panoramic view of Lake Oroville.
Chico is about 20 min from our locaion, it is an upbeat college town, with downtown Chico being a very popular hangout. Shops, IceCream Parlors, Restaurants, Gifts, and more. There is a new park located in the center of downtown which provides weekend entertainment.

For Adult Entertainment there is several local hangouts to visit including the longtime favorite The Optimo. The Optimo has been in Paradise for well over 25 years. There is music, bands, karaoke night, and great food. The tavern is a great place to relax and kick up your heels. There is a dance floor, and pool tables. There are several other taverns and restaurants around the Paradise area that will bring a fun and relaxing time while staying with us at the Paradise Inn.
Several Casinos are situated within 25 min. to 1 1/2 hours away from the town of Paradise and provide lots of exciting fun and entertainment 24 hours a day 7 days a week. With all the favorite slots, poker tables, tournaments, and weekly events, you won't be dissapointed.
